Exploring the source of the Ji River, visiting the Central Plains Ancient Architecture Museum, and visiting the Ji Du North Sea Temple

The Ji Du Temple is located in the center of Jiyuan City, Henan Province, and its full name is Ji Du North Sea Temple. This temple was built in the Sui Dynasty and has a history of more than 1,400 years. It is the place where the feudal dynasties since the Sui and Tang Dynasties have worshipped the Ji River God and the North Sea God. Speaking of the Ji River God, it reminds people of the name of this city. The ancient Ji River is known as the 'Four Du' in China along with the Yellow River, the Yangtze River, and the Huai River. Because the Ji River flows through, the names of Jinan, Jining, and Jiyang in Shandong are derived from it, and Jiyuan is the source of the Ji River, which is true to its name. Walking into the Ji Du Temple, you will find that this Water God Temple with rippling blue waves is also a group of ancient buildings. The entire temple layout is regular, with the Ji Du Temple in the front, the North Sea Shrine in the back, the Royal Fragrance Garden in the east, and the Tianqing Palace in the west, preserving ancient trees, buildings, and inscriptions from various dynasties. Walking among the temples, carefully observing each work representing different eras: the ancient cypress of the Eastern Han Dynasty; the wall of the Tang Dynasty; the stone inscription of 'The First Cave in the World' written by the Grand Scholar of the Yuan Dynasty, and the Dragon Pavilion rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty. Listening to the stories passed down by the ancient Chinese nation, feeling the endless and long-lasting Ji River.
