A meal with a pyramid view

Lunch at the Marriott Mena House during my pyramid trip was the most relaxing and elegant moment of the journey. Sitting at the outdoor terrace, the pyramid stood right in front of me, making the food taste twice as good thanks to the stunning view. That day, I ordered grilled chicken and a traditional Egyptian dish in a tagine style. The spices were not overwhelming, offering a nutty and mild flavor. Especially, pairing warm pita bread with hummus filled my mouth with the essence of the Middle East, and the refreshing mango juice added to the feeling of being on a true vacation. The service was friendly, and above all, it was wonderful to enjoy such a leisurely meal in the bustling heart of Cairo.
