Longting Park: A Scenic Area Built on the Site of Six Dynasties' Imperial Palaces

This was once the site of the imperial palaces of the Later Liang, Later Jin, Later Han, Later Zhou, Northern Song, and Jin dynasties, spanning more than 300 years. During the Ming dynasty, this was the fiefdom of Zhu Su, the fifth son of the Ming Taizu Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, and became the residence of the Prince of Zhou, spanning 11 generations and 265 years. During the reign of the Kangxi Emperor of the Qing dynasty, a Wanshou Pavilion was built on the original coal mountain of the Prince of Zhou's residence, with the emperor's memorial tablet enshrined inside, hence the name "Longting" (Dragon Pavilion) ...
