The story of the Yang family generals is well-known. The Tianbo Yang Mansion was originally the residence of Yang Ye, a famous general of the Northern Song Dynasty. It was later destroyed due to floods from the Yellow River and wars. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, buildings such as the Yang Family Temple were built by the lake. These were demolished when Feng Yuxiang governed Henan. The existing buildings were newly constructed in 1994. The scenic area is not very large. Inside the buildings, there are some simple popular science introductions, and there are some waterscapes along the lake. Those who are interested in the Yang family generals can visit. As for the performances, the experience is quite good. I watched two performances at the horse arena (Yang Ye Returns to Song/Beheading a Son at the Camp Gate). The content presented is decent, and a significant portion of the ticket price goes towards the performances. The entrance fee is 40 yuan. With its imitation ancient buildings and performances, it's a good place to revisit the history of the Yang family generals. The horse arena performances are also quite good. The autumn chrysanthemum exhibition is very popular. It's located next to the Forest of Steles. The Forest of Steles, Yang Mansion, and Dragon Pavilion are all quite close to each other.
