Parking is convenient. - Train: Take a taxi from Kaihua Railway Station. - High-speed rail: Take the Kaihua Special Line from Quzhou Railway Station (approx. 1 hr). Tickets Tickets are CNY 180. Some visitors are eligible for half-price or free tickets. Opening hours May 1–September 30: 8:30 am–6:00 pm; October 1–April 30: 8:30 am–5:00 pm. Tour route Enter through the South Gate and visit Qingmei Garden, Buddhist Culture Root Carving Art Museum, Drunken Root Pagoda, Drunken Scenery Garden (glass walkway), Chinese Culture Root Carving Art Museum, Theater, and Children's Garden. Exit through the North Gate. Highlights - Drunken Root Pagoda: 79 meters tall with 13 floors. The pagoda has a crypt displaying rare wood and root carvings. - Yunhu Zen: A mountain lake shrouded in mist. A great place for photos. - Root Carving Buddhist Kingdom: Three halls displaying many root carvings of Buddhist figures, such as Sakyamuni and Maitreya. - Chinese Culture Root Carving Art Museum: In addition to root carvings, the museum has unique courtyards and gardens. A great place for photos in traditional Chinese clothing. Food recommendations Kaihua steamed cake, Kaihua clear water fish, Kaihua green snails, Longding tea. Reminders - The scenic area is large.
