What to do in Japan in spring? Why not go hiking in the refreshing Kamakura? Let’s start from the famous Kamakura High School! 📆Itinerary: Kamakura High School-Nanarigahama-Inamurasaki Onsen-Kamakura Buddha-Komachi-dori 🚗Transportation strategy: Walking 🌟Highlights of the trip: ✅In front of Kamakura High School: The filming location of Slam Dunk, exactly the same as the opening of the animation. Many girls in school uniforms took photos in front of the station. If you want to take great photos, it is recommended to go at 8-9 in the morning so you don’t have to worry about the crowds. ✅Nanarigahama: The filming location of Our Little Sister. Looking from the beach, Mount Fuji is right in front of you. It’s so magical! There are many seagulls on the seashore, so you can prepare some food for them. ✅Inamurazaki Hot Spring: If you are tired from shopping, why not take a hot spring bath? The hot springs here are divided into 2 floors. The 2F is highly recommended. The large open-air platform is great, where you can enjoy the sea view while soaking in the hot springs. ✅Kamakura Great Buddha: Kamakura's iconic building, about a 10-minute walk from Hase Station. The Big Buddha is located in Kotoku-in Temple, and there is nothing else to see except the Big Buddha. ✅Komachi-dori: A commercial street near Kamakura Station, crowded with tourists. There is everything you need to eat, play and souvenirs. Kamakura's specialty souvenir pigeon cookies can also be bought here. 📌Tips for playing: ✅There are two ways to explore Kamakura: take the Enoden or hike. I personally recommend hiking. The roads in Kamakura are all flat, so it’s not tiring to walk and you can see more scenery along the way. ✅Kamakura High School is about 1 kilometer walk from the station. The university is not open to the public, so you can only take photos from outside. It would be even more exciting if you check in during the summer! ✅Come to Nanarihama in the early morning to take pictures of the pink Mount Fuji, which is so beautiful. There are also many popular brunches around Shichilimahama, such as Bills. If you are tired from hiking, you can have a pancake and look at the sea. ✅You cannot use it when going to Inamurazaki Onsen💳, you can only pay in cash. The 1F is a private bath, which is more expensive and allows you to soak for an hour. You don't need to bring anything, there are all kinds of toiletries inside, it's quite relaxing. ✅Hase-dera Temple and Gokuraku-ji Temple are located near the Great Buddha of Kamakura and can be visited together. Especially in May and June, it is the hydrangea season. Girls who like taking photos should not miss it.
