The Bridge on the River Kwai

The Bridge on the River Kwai is located in Tambon Tha Makham, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province. It is an important historical tourist attraction in Thailand. This bridge was built during World War II by the Japanese army as part of the Death Railway, which connected Thailand and Burma.    Currently, the Bridge on the River Kwai is open to tourists every day from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tourists can walk on the railway tracks of the bridge, which are approximately 300 meters long, to enjoy the view of the River Kwai and take souvenir photos. However, be careful and observe the warning signs, as there are still trains passing through this bridge.  Each year, in late November to early December, the Bridge on the River Kwai Week is held, which is an interesting activity for tourists.  To get to the Bridge on the River Kwai, from Kanchanaburi town, take Highway No. 323 north for about 4 kilometers, then turn left for about 400 meters to reach the bridge. #Songkran attractions
