World Heritage City [Historic City of Kandy]

Kandy, an ancient city located almost in the center of Sri Lanka. The entire city is registered as a World Heritage Site and is a holy place for Buddhism. There are many things to see, such as the Temple of the Tooth Relic, where the tooth of Buddha is enshrined, and Kandy Lake, which spreads out next to it. This time, I stayed at the historic Queen's Hotel, built during the British colonial period. I was determined to stay at this hotel when I visited Kandy. The colonial-style hotel in front of the Temple of the Tooth Relic was founded in 1895 and is a symbol of Kandy. With a history of over 100 years, the interior is still made of vintage furniture, creating an excellent atmosphere. Although it feels old, the bathroom is comfortable and there are no problems. New and beautiful hotels are nice, but if you go to the ancient city of Kandy, I would definitely recommend the unique historic colonial-style Queen's Hotel. The location is also good. You can take a walk around Kandy Lake, and restaurants and shopping malls are within walking distance. The Kandy Central Market is particularly interesting.
