From professional basketball to superstar concerts: The story of the Kaohsiung Arena

Kaohsiung Arena, full name Kaohsiung City Modern Sports Complex, started construction in August 2004 in a BOT mode and was opened on September 27, 2008 by then-mayor Chen Ju and the president of the World Sports Federation. The base is about 17,000 pings, with a ceiling height of 42 meters and six floors, with a total of 15,000 fixed seats. Its design meets international standards and can host sports events such as basketball and volleyball. It also has concerts, large conferences, exhibitions and even World Games-level functions.
