Whenever handcrafts are mentioned, the thought "can't afford it" seems to pop into my mind 😂 In our modern era of industrial development, rejecting assembly lines while investing enormous time and energy to create unique handcrafted items deserves recognition. Before coming to Kashgar, the handcrafts I knew seemed "unattainable." But here in Kashgar, 👵 The artisans don't charge high prices, don't focus on marketing, and don't abandon their heritage. ------ If you wander through the deep alleys in the afternoon, you'll easily spot them silently focused on their hammering under the sunlight. When strolling through the night market after dinner, warm yellow light shines on the copper wares, and both the entire workshop and the artisan's meticulous furrowed brow glow brilliantly in the hazy golden light. ✨ ------ 🗿The clay used for pottery here is naturally Kashgar's soil. Dust floats in the air as each piece passes through careful hands, slowly shaping Kashgar's precious fragments into form, giving meaning to these "one-of-a-kind" creations through time. Even though the pottery cliffs on the high plateau no longer exist, the flowing tradition of craftsmanship continues to be passed down through generations. ☁️ With sincere and clear light in their eyes, their hands repeat thousand-year-old traditional crafts, staying close to the most simple life of ordinary people.
