Zanzibar is one of my favourite African destinations. It is a slice of paradise indeed and its famous for its beautiful white sand beaches, turquoise water and rich local culture. The East coast serves some of the best views on the island and this is where the best hotels are located. My favourite ones were Upendo and Zanziblue. The incredibly chilled vibe of both places made my trip even more enjoyable. We avoided staying in big resorts while in Zanzibar, and instead picked beach guest houses serving some of the best local food. One of the top things to do on the island is visiting the Tortoise sanctuary. This was definitely a highlight for me! #zanzibar #tanzania
