Katowice, the industrial heart of Poland.

The pride of Silesia, Poland, and together with the surrounding cities, forms the brilliant starry sky of the Silesian Metropolitan Union. Like its industrial brother Lodz, this city does not have the "Old Town Square" of those ancient Polish cities, but the buildings in the city center have been carefully dressed up and can already rival many cities in Europe. The tram shuttles between these buildings, as if telling the story of this city. 🏭 Katowice, a former mining town, has a strong socialist color, and brutalist architecture can also be found here. Compared to Lodz, there seems to be more fun to explore here. Although those mining history museums are not very attractive to me (I didn't go to any of them), this city still has its unique charm. 🌟 For first-time visitors to Poland, Katowice may not be the first choice (it may discount your first impression of Poland, so it is recommended to go to Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw, etc. first). But for me, every city I haven't set foot in is a new adventure. Here, I stayed in the cheapest but most comfortable hostel in Poland, and tasted the Vietnamese fast food that best suited my taste, which are all little happiness on the journey. 👮 By the way, does Katowice seem to have a lot of Sino-Polish cooperation projects? I had only been here for a few hours when I found that the number of black people on the street exceeded the total number I had seen in other Polish cities before. This sometimes gives me the illusion that I am in Germany.
