Wat Theppitak Punnaram or (Wat Phra Khao)

Luang Pho Khao, Wat Theppitak Punnaram or (Wat Phra Khao) Located in Khao Si Siat Ao, Khlang Dong Village, is a temple that enshrines “Phra Phuttha Sakon Sima Mongkhon”, a name bestowed by His Majesty the King. Locals generally call it “Luang Pho Khao” or “Luang Pho Yai”. Luang Pho Khao is 27.25 meters wide and 45 meters high. It is made of reinforced concrete and stands prominently on a hilltop, 112 meters above ground level. The left and right sides of the Buddha statue are curved in the shape of a Bodhi leaf. There are 1,250 steps in total, which represents the number of Arahants who gathered without prior arrangement on Makha Bucha Day. The Buddha statue is 112 meters or 56 wa above ground, which represents the 56 virtues of the Buddha.
