Black Turtle Waterfall

Black Turtle Waterfall is located within Khlong Wang Chao National Park in Kamphaeng Phet Province. This stunning waterfall is unique due to its cascading water flowing over black shale rocks, which inspired its name "Black Turtle." Additionally, there is a pool shaped like a turtle with a deep, dark, and beautiful color, making it one of the most impressive natural attractions. The waterfall consists of three tiers, each over 200 meters high, with water flowing year-round. To visit the waterfall, a four-wheel-drive vehicle is required due to the rugged dirt road leading to the site. From the parking area, visitors must walk approximately 300 meters and climb about 600 steps to reach the viewpoint for a closer look at the waterfall. The national park offers a camping area with separate male and female restrooms and showers. Basic amenities are provided, but there is no phone signal or electricity, making it ideal for those seeking a true immersion in nature. The entrance fee to the park is 40 THB per person, with an additional 10 THB for accident insurance and 30 THB for car parking. The camping area fee is 30 THB per person, and visitors are advised to bring their own camping equipment and plan their trip accordingly. Black Turtle Waterfall is perfect for adventurers, hikers, and nature enthusiasts, especially during the rainy season to early winter when the waterfall is at its most lush and beautiful.
