Walking into Kiyosu Castle feels like stepping back into the Sengoku era. Located in Aichi Prefecture, this small town was where Oda Nobunaga began his journey. Rich in history yet serene and understated, it lacks the crowds of tourists, making it my favorite quiet moment of this trip. The wooden reconstruction of the castle keep may not be towering, but its simple Japanese aesthetic blends harmoniously with the riverside scenery. Strolling along the castle's perimeter, you can see the stone walls and moat reflecting the keep's image.
