There are many other good things about Koh Phangan, such as climbing mountains to see the view, visiting cool cafes, or going snorkeling. There are very few reviews of snorkeling here. No one has reviewed it. Let's go. This time, I'll review it for you. Getting there: It's not difficult to get to Koh Phangan. First, you have to take a boat to Koh Phangan. There are many ways to get there, such as taking a bus from Bangkok, buying a package to the island, or taking a plane to Surat Thani. Or you can drive to the pier in Chumphon or Surat Thani provinces. When you arrive on Koh Phangan, walk out of the pier to your accommodation. Most accommodations here don't pick you up at the pier. They will charge an additional fee. The price depends on the hotel. Or you can rent a car (gasoline on the island is expensive). The most convenient way is to walk out and call a taxi (songthaew) to the hotel. Contact them before going. It's better than calling one at the bus station because some people are charged a very high fare. We stayed at Koh Ma, the car fee was 100 baht per person. Boat rental: Some hotels have packages, whether it's a boat or a join-trip. We went with a group of people, so we chose to charter a boat and not join anyone because we like that we can stay where we want as long as we don't have to wait for anyone. Our boat fare for 1 day was 2,500 baht, 5 people, 500 baht per person. Joining a trip is also 500 baht. 😫 You can make an appointment with the boat owner for the boat time. You can order food in your own box or eat it on the beach where they stop to rest. The normal price on the island is not too expensive. We booked the boat from Black Coral Tour. Snorkeling package: The boat will provide a snorkeling mask and free drinking water. Today, the boat took us to 3 places: Koh Ma 2 points, Hat Khot and Hat Khom. We didn't have enough time, so we missed Hat Salad because we took too long to dive at the first point at Koh Ma. The first point, Koh Ma, is not on the Mae Hat side. It's on the other side, behind the mountain, as shown in the review picture in this post. This point is very beautiful. The water is so clear that you can see it and say "wow". It's so clear. Yes, we stayed here for 2 hours and flew a drone until we got the beautiful picture we wanted. In addition to the clear water, there are also a lot of corals and fish. It's a pity that we mostly took videos underwater. On the Phangan, Koh Tao, Krabi, and Phi Phi sides, you won't see much Nemo. There will be Nemo's friends, the blue striped ones, and the yellow-fin parrot fish. They swim, jump into the water, and take pictures. It's so satisfying.
