Koh Samui Island

#kohsamuiisland The island of Koh Samui in Surat Thani Province (or Ko Samui, Thai: เกาะสมุย), or simply Samui as it is called by the natives, is an island on the east coast of the Isthmus of Kra, close to the mainland city of Surat Thani. This island is the third largest island in Thailand, with an area of 228.7 km² and a population of more than 50,000 (2008).
