Wat Phra Yai at Samui

#passionpassport Wat Phra Yai means Big Buddha Temple. We stopped here to visit on our way to another part of the island and it was worthwhile. The temple is impressive and a wonderful reflection of the local peoples faith. There are a number of cafes around the temple that offer authentic Thai food at very cheap prices. There are also many souvenier shops around. One thing I regreted was I never step up. Lesson: If you’ll be in a new place, make the most of it. There is no entrance fee as well as parking fee. If there’s one rule to remember when visiting Thai temples, it’s to cover your shoulders and knees. This is meant to both both sex’s, although usually it’s more focused on the women to be fully covered.
