[Shiga/Shigaraki] A cafe renovated from a nobori kiln

#FuriTabi #Shiga #Koka #Shigaraki #Cafe #CafeLover #Pottery #Tanuki 📍1131 Nagano, Shigaraki-cho, Koka-shi, Shiga 🕰️10:00-16:00 (pre-check recommended) "Okuda Chuzaemon Kiln" is a 6th generation kiln with over 100 years of history, opened in 1888 at the foot of the Shigaraki mountain. They exhibit and sell simple and warm Shigaraki ware such as Tanuki, flower pots, flower vases, and matcha tea bowls. The cafe, which is built in a real climbing kiln that was built about 90 years ago, is particularly eye-catching. The inner walls, which have been exposed to the direct flames of the kiln, have a reddish-brown color. It is a place where you can spend a relaxing time touring the cafe, pottery classes, shops, and more.
