[It's a little-known spot, but it would be a shame to miss out on seeing the beautiful gardens]

📍Ryūgozan Daichiji Temple, Shiga Prefecture The Horai Garden of the Shoin of the Zen temple, Daichiji Temple. This is a dry landscape garden with large azalea pruning, and is said to have been created by Kobori Enshu, who built Minakuchi Castle during the Edo period. The two-tiered large pruning in front of the Shoin represents the large and small waves of the sea, and a treasure ship floating on pure white sand. The way the Seven Lucky Gods are symbolized by various pruning techniques is truly magnificent. The stonework of Mt. Horai, which can be seen from the front of the teahouse leading to the Shoin, is also beautiful. From late May to mid-June, flowers such as azaleas bloom in profusion, and in August and September, the beauty of the pruned lines stands out even more, creating a mysterious and elegant landscape.
