Kotor ancient city monuments

The Old Town of Kotor is one of the few ancient towns in the Mediterranean that has preserved its complete defense system. Construction of fortifications began in the 9th century on the Hill of St. John, but the basic defensive circle was not completed until the 14th century. 📍 The landmark buildings of Kotor Old Town are the Cathdral of St. Tryphon and another larger church, St. Nichola’s Church 💡💡 It is recommended to enter through the entrances on both sides of the city wall, walk around the ancient city along the city wall, and explore the surrounding attractions.
