Elephant Conservation Center at Kenyir Lake, Terengganu

#springitinerary On this trip, we made a special drive to visit the Elephant Conservation Center at Kenyir Lake. We arrived on a Friday, but unfortunately, there wasn't much information online — and nobody mentioned that the center is closed on Friday mornings! It only opens at 2:30 PM. While waiting, we took up a local Chinese boat owner's offer and went on a lake cruise to pass the time (see photos 17 & 18). ⛵ The design of the elephant center is actually quite impressive: Visitors walk along suspension bridges above the enclosures 🪢 There are educational sections And close-up interactions with the elephants — great for families and kids! ✨ Highlight of the day: The elephant bathing sessions, which happen twice daily (check photo 16 for exact times marked in red).
