“Guan Di Temple - A Timeless Sanctuary of Strength and Devotion!”

#favouriteitinerary Guan Di Temple, also known as Kuan Ti Temple, is a historic Taoist temple located in Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown on Jalan Tun H.S. Lee. Established in 1888 by the Kwang Chao Association, it stands as one of Malaysia’s oldest temples.  The temple is dedicated to Guan Di, the Taoist God of War and Literature, revered for his loyalty and righteousness. Devotees believe that touching or lifting the 59-kilogram copper Guan Dao (a type of pole weapon) three times can bestow blessings.  Architecturally, the temple features a vibrant orange façade guarded by two stone lions, symbolizing protection. Inside, visitors can find wooden statues of Guan Di, his son Guan Ping, and loyal general Zhou Cang.
