National Palace (Istana Negara)

The National Palace (Istana Negara), meaning "National Palace" in Malay, serves as the official residence of the constitutional monarch of Malaysia. Located in Kuala Lumpur, it is the primary home of the King and his family. The palace complex consists of several main buildings, including the ceremonial throne room, reception hall, and residences for the royal family and staff. The National Palace is also used for state ceremonies, official events, and functions. While the palace itself is not open to the public, visitors can witness the daily changing of the guard ceremony.
