[Japanese summer festivals I went to in 2024] 4. The lantern battle is here

During the day, dolls of people from myths and other mythological stories are decorated on the floats and pulled around the town, and at night, the dolls are removed and the floats are decorated with about 500 lanterns on all four sides and paraded around the town. This time, we will introduce the "Kuki Lantern Festival" held in Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture. This festival is held every year on July 12th and 18th. The scenery changes between day and night, but the sight of the lantern floats moving along with the festival music is a masterpiece. They even crash the floats into each other! There are three major lantern festivals in Japan, and although this one is not counted among them, it is a festival that is comparable to them! ️ Please come and visit us next year! #SummerFestival2024
