Kumagaya, Saitama. "Kumagaya Station" with its impressive monuments of "Kumagaya (Jiro) Naomi" and "Rugby Town Kumagaya" 🏉

I didn't know about "Rugby Town Kumagaya" until I came here, but there is a monument at Kumagaya Station that tells you about the town's specialties. Kumagaya is often known as "the hottest place in Japan" because of the high temperatures it has. Kumagaya Station has ticket gates for the JR Line and the Chichibu Railway, and there are many souvenir shops and restaurants. In the center of the station is a bronze statue of Kumagaya (Jiro) Naozane. On the corner of the intersection on the left side of the station, there is a monument to "Rugby Town Kumagaya." On the way home, I enjoyed some of Saitama's famous sweets on the train, including the "Jumangoku Manju," famous for the phrase "It's too delicious," "Gokabo," "Haniwa Sable," and "Umeboshi Daifuku." "Umeboshi Daifuku" is a rare sweet that you don't see very often!
