Kunming Dianchi Greenway Lake Bridge - A Dragon-like Bridge Winding Through Mountains and Waters

👉Chengdu is famous for its 100 km ring-shaped greenway featuring numerous uniquely designed bridges that quickly gained widespread popularity. 👉Kunming also has a greenway around Dianchi Lake, which will exceed 100 km when completed, reaching approximately 140 km. Currently, 79 km is open to the public. The "Lake Bridge" mentioned here is at the southernmost point of the open greenway, located on the east side of Nansha Beach Park in Jinning District. 🌈Highlights: 1️⃣The Lake Bridge's design makes full use of the terrain, connecting mountains and lake. When the Dianchi Greenway reaches Jinning District at the east side of Nansha Beach Park's Dawan Mountain, a steep 40m slope made it impossible for the greenway to descend normally in a short distance, leading to the creation of this 4-level spiral "Lake Bridge." 2️⃣More than just a bridge, its white dragon-like structure winds between lush hillsides and crystal-clear waters, creating a striking yet harmonious contrast with the surrounding landscape. Walking on the bridge offers different views at every step - verdant bamboo groves, towering trees, and elevated viewing points make you feel like you're walking through a Chinese landscape painting. 3️⃣In March's spring weather, Kunming lives up to its name as the Spring City with flowers blooming everywhere. While visiting the bridge, the Yunnan cherry blossoms in full bloom along both sides of the approach road at the bridge's highest point are a stunning surprise. The bridge's lower end connects to South Dianchi Beach Park, known as Kunming's Maldives, complete with wooden boardwalks, thatched cottages, palm trees, beaches, and Dianchi Lake resembling an ocean. 🚗Location and Transportation: 1️⃣The Lake Bridge is located on the east side of South Dianchi Beach Park, about 50 km from downtown. Driving is recommended. 2️⃣There are two ways to reach the bridge: walk about 500m after reaching the beach park, or take an electric shuttle from Niunian Fishing Village while enjoying the scenery along the way. 🎫Ticket Information: 1️⃣No entrance fee required, only normal parking fees apply. 2️⃣Electric shuttle from the fishing village costs 18 yuan per person one way. Small 4-seater electric cars are also available for rent at 40 yuan per hour. ✨Tips: 1️⃣Avoid visiting during noon as it gets very sunny. Sun protection is recommended for all outdoor activities around Kunming. 2️⃣Cherry blossoms are estimated to last 7-10 days during peak bloom. 3️⃣If you have a drone, it's worth bringing as aerial views are the best way to capture the full panorama.
