【Czech Republic】 Plague Column 1713-1715

The sculpture is full of carved details and the column is supposed to be a reminder of the plague of 1713-1715. I can't read Czech, but I didn't see any mention of a plaque on the pillar at all. However, it does look like a typical Marian column, with a sculpture of Mary at the top of the column, a sculpture that looks like a cloud, and cherubs. There are four saints at the base of the pillar. Built in memory of plague victims, it is beautifully carved, well maintained and an amazing piece of history, definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. #2024TravelWish ~ Travel to Sicily, Italy
