Heian Shrine's vermilion shrine was beautiful against the clear blue sky.

There was not a single cloud in the beautiful blue sky, and the only colors were the vermilion of the shrine, the roof of the shrine and the green of the trees, the white clay walls of the shrine, and the ground covered with white gravel. I was surprised that only four colors, blue x vermilion x green x white, colored this vast Heian Jingu. I really felt the depth of history of the ancient capital, Kyoto. Perhaps because I usually live surrounded by a variety of colors, the vivid vermilion of the shrines in Kyoto is beautiful, and the elegance of traditional Japanese houses, with their colors subdued to the extreme, shows the temperament of Kyoto people who love Kyoto.
