#japantrip The Ryōzen Kannon is a war memorial commemorating the dead of the Pacific War located in Eastern Kyoto. The temple is perhaps most famous for its large statue of Bodhisattva Kannon, which stands at approximately 24 meters (80 feet) tall. You are allowed to explore the grounds, pay their respects at the various memorial sites, and take in the serene and contemplative atmosphere of the temple. It offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. Address: 526-2 Shimokawaracho, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto, 605-0825, Japan Opening Hours: 8.40am - 4pm
