A Cozy Okonomiyaki Restaurant in Higashiyama, Kyoto

Located in the Kicking Up area of Higashiyama, away from the center of Kyoto, this okonomiyaki restaurant has a charming atmosphere. I forgot to take a photo of the okonomiyaki, but the fact that you can add your own sauce, mayonnaise, seaweed flakes, and bonito flakes is a nice touch. The tonpeiyaki was served with ponzu instead of sauce, which was refreshing and quickly devoured. Some of the dishes are served on plates, making them easy to eat. The menu is extensive, and it was fun to spend time deciding what to order. The restaurant is always bustling with local and foreign customers.
