[Kyoto/Karasuma] Afternoon tea at a cafe renovated from a townhouse

🍁MAISON TANUKI 📍Kyoto Karasuma (5 minutes walk from Karasuma Oike subway station) This time, I ordered the plan with a souvenir (4000 yen) 🍴A special afternoon tea with the flavors of autumn to enjoy in a machiya townhouse🐿 You can enjoy plenty of autumn flavors such as grapes, chestnuts, potatoes, apples, and pumpkins. The afternoon tea included: 🍵Welcome tea 🍰Sweets ・Shine Muscat shortcake ・Kyoho grape and Shine Muscat tart ・Cassis chestnut Mont Blanc ・Pumpkin crème brûlée ・Kintoki potato galette bretonne ・Cream puffs ・Apple and walnut cake ・Chocolate roll with praline noisette 🥪Savory ・3 kinds of tea sandwiches ・Quiche 🫖Drinks There was a wide selection of teas, from the standard to flavored and milk teas. It comes with two cups, so you can enjoy both iced and hot teas, which is nice✨️ You can also change to free-floating tea (+600 yen). There were lots of autumn sweets lined up on the plate, and it was very gorgeous🍁 I couldn't decide which one to eat first💭 They were all delicious and I couldn't choose a favorite, but I especially liked the shortcake and Mont Blanc💕 The shortcake had Shine Muscat grapes on top and inside, so it was fresh and went perfectly with the fresh cream! The Mont Blanc had blackcurrant cream inside, which was a taste I'd never tasted before✨️ The sourness of the blackcurrant added a nice accent and made it delicious☺️ The pumpkin creme brulée was also rich and creamy, and made me happy💞 It's really important to have something savory as well as sweet✨ I'm glad I was able to enjoy three kinds of tea sandwiches! The quiche is small and bite-sized, so it's perfect to eat between sweets💗 Fall flavors are the best after all🍁🍂 All the sweets are not too sweet, and the size is just right, so it's nice to be able to enjoy a variety of types✨ It was a very satisfying afternoon tea🙆♀️ And you can get a souvenir on the way home💕 You can enjoy MAISON TANUKI's flavors at home💗 It was a great set that included madeleines, cookies, and even tea.
