Kiyomizu-dera – Kiyomizu-dera – The Sacred Wood Temple in Kyoto Kiyomizu-dera is one of the most beautiful temples in Kyoto and is a popular destination for both tourists and spiritualists! The highlight of this temple is the large wooden terrace extending from the main building. It was built without using a single nail and offers a panoramic view of Kyoto. The peak season is especially beautiful during the autumn leaves and cherry blossom seasons. The walk up to the temple is just as enjoyable, with Japanese sweet shops, cafes, souvenir shops, and an old-fashioned atmosphere that makes you stop and take pictures every few steps.
