Calm tatazumai is the essence of Higashiyama culture

#aprilblooms A temple based on "Higayama-dono", a mountain built by Yoshimasa Ashikaga, the eighth shogun of the Muromachi bakufu. Along with Kinkaku-ji Temple, it is a mountain pagoda temple of Shokoku-ji Temple (= a temple made from a hermitage after retirement built in a different place from the main temple). After Yoshimasa's death, it was named Jisho-ji Temple after his Buddhist name. While Kinkaku-ji Temple, where most of the buildings at the time of its founding were lost, Kannon-den and Tokudo remain in their original form in Ginkaku-ji Temple, and it seems to convey the Higashiyama culture to the present. If you go through the entrance gate and turn right, the path surrounded by a temple fence extends straight, and you will reach the middle gate.
