Visited in November 2022 Ohara, Sanzen-in Sanzen-in is a Tendai sect temple located in Ohara, Kyoto☺️ Its origins date back to the 8th century, when Saicho built Enryaku-ji Temple on Mount Hiei, and it is said to have begun as a hermitage built under a pear tree.
