Built in the 16th century, Jojakko-ji Temple is located halfway up Mt. Ogura in Sagano. It is famous for the lush trees and Niomon Gate in the temple, and has been listed as a World Heritage Site. In autumn, when the red leaves cover the mountains, its beauty is breathtaking. Although it is located halfway up Mt. Kokura, it is only a 15-minute walk from JR Saga Arashiyama Station. As soon as you step into the mountain gate with "Jojakko-ji" hung on the door, you will see red leaves all over the mountain, extending all the way up the mountain. As we walked on, we saw Niomon Gate, which often appeared on many magazine posters. With Niomon Gate as the frame, the scenery in front of us was as unreal and beautiful as a painting.
