Bridge across time

#Songkran2024Travel This place has a prominent feature of a steep sea cliff. There is a long seaside walkway along the mountain called Khao To Ngai. It is a nature study trail along the sea. One section of the cliff has different colors of rock layers. There are traces of rocks from 2 eras: Cambrian red sandstone and Ordovician limestone, which are more than 400 years apart. The traces of rocks from both eras are caused by the fault lines of the earth's crust that are clear and rare. It is as if you can step across time from the Cambrian to the Ordovician era just by stepping across. Hence the name, the Bridge Across Time.
