Wat Phra That Hariphunchai Woramahawihan is an important religious site in the North. It is a sacred place that has been with Lamphun for more than a thousand years. It is located in the center of Lamphun, about 150 meters from the city hall. It is surrounded by roads on four sides: Attharot Road to the north, Chai Mongkhon Road to the south, and Rop Mueang Road to the east. It is also the chedi for people born in the year of the rooster. Phra Borommathat Hariphunchai contains the relics of the Lord Buddha in a golden casket enshrined in a pagoda. The recessed throne is 25 wah and 2 sok high and 12 wah and 2 sok wide at the base. And the four corner umbrellas and the four towers on each side, totaling four towers, contain Buddha images, each tower is seated.
