An ancient temple more than 200 years old

     Wat Sapung Luang was built in 1779 in Ban Sapung Luang, Tambon Muang Noi, Amphoe Pa Sang, Lamphun Province. This temple is considered a very beautiful temple. The temple was built in the Burmese style. This is because the people in this village migrated from Ban Sapung, Yong District, Burma, led by Khru Ba Intakhat and Khru Ba Nanda Wisutthawaso. When the village was established, the name of the original village was used to name the village. Later, in 1796, Khru Ba Nanda Wisutthawaso built a temple as a place for religious activities and named the temple after the village, Wat Sapung.
