Don't miss Jingmai Mountain in Pu'er! Sharing a two-day, one-night tea culture tour.

We drove from Lincang, Yunnan, to Jingmai Mountain in Pu'er. We spent two days here, enjoying the sunrise and sunset over Jingmai Mountain 🌄 and the ancient tea forests. Although we missed the legendary sea of clouds, overall, Jingmai Mountain is still worth a visit. 📍Jingmai Mountain Scenic Area Located in Pu'er, Yunnan, the Jingmai Mountain Scenic Area is vast, and self-driving is recommended. 🚗Our itinerary: DAY 1: The same banyan tree from the show "A Place Called Home" 👉 Enter Jingmai Mountain Scenic Area 👉 Dapingzhang Ancient Tea Forest 👉 Wengji Ancient Village 👉 Manghong Village DAY 2: Manghong Village 👉 Princess Banyan Tree in Mangjing Village 👉 Bee King Tree 👉 Nuogan Ancient Village My favorite spots: 🔴Jingmai Mountain Ancient Tea Forest (Free) There is no entrance fee for the Jingmai Mountain Scenic Area. The road is surrounded by tea gardens and ancient trees. Driving through the lush, towering forests on both sides feels like traveling through time. 🔴Wengji Ancient Village (Free) Deep in the jungle of Jingmai Mountain, the village is built on the mountainside. There's a viewing platform at the back where you can see the distant mountains. I heard that if there's a sea of clouds in the morning, the village is often beneath it. 🔴Nuogan Ancient Village (Free) This is a traditional Dai village, only ten minutes away from Wengji. The village is small, and now every family is in the tea business, as Jingmai Mountain is famous for Pu'er tea. If you're tired, you can go to a farmhouse and have some tea. Every household hangs many huge dried string beans, which the locals call "ping'an dou" (peace beans). 🔴Princess Banyan Tree, right by the roadside. We stopped to take a picture. It's unique, with the roots of the banyan tree splitting into two sides, like a giant gate. There are many such peculiar banyan trees in Jingmai Mountain! 🔴Manghong Village is mainly a place to watch the sunrise and sunset. We stayed here for the night. There's a restaurant in the village called "Tamarind Tree Private Kitchen" that tastes good. 🔆Tips 1. There's a large temperature difference in Jingmai Mountain during this season. It's hot during the day, but cold in the morning and evening, especially when watching the sunrise and sunset. A jacket is recommended. 2. Jingmai Mountain is rich in Pu'er tea, and there are tea tasting and selling everywhere. Tea lovers can buy some to take home. 3. The roads inside Jingmai Mountain Scenic Area are cobblestone and mountain roads, so drive slowly. 4. Besides Pu'er tea, Jingmai Mountain is all about watching the sunrise, sea of clouds, and sunset. It's recommended to stay overnight.
