Step through the Anywhere Door: Visit more than 20 ethnic villages in a single day. Although each village in the park isn't very large, they capture the essence of each ethnic group's residential life. The landscaping is realistic, the scenery is beautiful, and the "villagers" in each village are all selected from the respective ethnic groups. It's like stepping through an Anywhere Door, quite interesting! 🚙 Transportation Driving is recommended. We departed from Menghai. The 2.5-hour drive included a section of gravel road about 10 km past the Jingmai Mountain checkpoint. There weren't any large potholes, but it was very bumpy, like a washboard. According to the villagers, the reason for not paving the road with asphalt is to prevent dust pollution in the tea plantation. However, the scenery along the way was very beautiful, sometimes giving the illusion of traveling through a primeval forest. 🏨 Accommodation There are many homestays in Ongi Ancient Village. The commercial facilities are also more developed, and there are more restaurants. It's an excellent location for viewing the sea of clouds. New construction isn't allowed in Nuogang Ancient Village, so there are fewer accommodations within the village itself. Most accommodations are in Nuogang New Village, about 1 km walk from the old village. 👣Must-visit villages: Dai Village: The first village you enter. Surrounded by water on three sides and shaded by green trees, it's full of rich Dai ethnic customs.
