🇩🇪 Leipzig | Finally Checked Off My East Germany List!

#summervacay Leipzig — the last puzzle piece in my Germany journey 🧩 My first impression? Huge central station, barely any people. Spacious and quiet — that’s East Germany for you. 🗺️ Here’s my relaxed City Walk route, perfect for a chill afternoon stroll: 🚉 Leipzig Hauptbahnhof – massive and well-organized 🏛️ Leipzig University – modern meets history ⛪ St. Nicholas Church – known for its role in peaceful protests 🏛️ Old Town Hall – classic central square vibes ⛪ St. Thomas Church – home of Bach’s statue & former residence 🏰 New Town Hall – my favorite! A huge grey castle-like building, super photogenic 📸 ⛪ St. Peter’s Church – gothic style, but feels quite modest after seeing Cologne Cathedral 😅 German cities might all feel somewhat similar, but somehow, each new one still brings a fresh spark of excitement for me 😄 #germanytravel #leipzig #eastgermany
