🏟 Taizhou Fu City Wall (Great Wall of the South), located in Linhai, Zhejiang, is one of the most complete ancient city walls in southern China. Stretching 4,730 meters, it starts from Lansheng Gate in the east, extends along the ridge of Beigu Mountain to the Lingjiang River, resembling a giant dragon. Its curved "horse face" design serves both defensive and flood control purposes, earning it the title of "Badaling of the South." 🗺 Itinerary: Lansheng Gate - Taizhou Fu City Wall - Baiyun Tower - Chaotian Gate - Ziyang Street - Xingshan Gate ✔️ Start at Lansheng Gate, climb the 198 steps of "Hero Slope" to the top, and overlook the panoramic view of East Lake. Passing through the gate tower, you'll see the bronze statue of national hero Qi Jiguang, as this was once the core of his anti-Japanese defense system. ✔️ Walk along the city wall, where lush greenery and cherry blossoms dot the white walls and black tiles, showcasing the beauty of spring. ✔️ Pass by the highest point, Baiyun Tower, through the "horse face" defense Chaotian Gate, and arrive at the final destination, Xingshan Gate, which connects to Ziyang Street.
