Phu Pha Po, nicknamed the Fuji of Loei, is a one-day trip.

If you want to experience the cold weather and beautiful scenery but are too lazy to travel far, I would recommend Phu Pa Po in Loei Province. Some people say that it looks like Japan's Mount Fuji. There are taxis that will take you up to see beautiful views and cool weather. The fare is about 30 baht per person (I don't know if the price has increased). Then there is a part of the mountain top that you have to walk up to because cars can't go up. The distance is not very far, it's a little steep, and it's not difficult to walk. For those who exercise, it's a leisurely walk without getting tired. For those who don't like exercising, it will be a little tiring. The weather at the top of Phu Pa Po is quite cold and very windy.
