Historical beauty at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat

Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat is located in Lop Buri Province. It is an important ancient site that reflects the glory of art and culture in the Khmer and Ayutthaya eras. This temple was built in the Sukhothai period with the main prang as the center. It was built of laterite and stucco and is uniquely tall. Around the main prang, there are surrounding stupas and structures that reflect the beliefs and faith in Buddhism. Walking around the temple is like traveling back in time.
