With its high and thick city walls, broad crescent city, layered gates, clouds floating above, and its majestic presence, it has become the leading historical and cultural district of the old city of Luoyang. It has become one of the most distinctive symbols of the ancient city's history and culture and has been named one of the 'Eight Scenic Spots of Luoyang', praised with the saying, 'One who has not been to Lijing Gate has come to Luoyang City in vain.' As the number one tower in the Central Plains and the foremost gate of the ancient capital, Lijing Gate is the only comprehensive tourist area in the ancient city of Luoyang that integrates dining, accommodation, travel, tourism, shopping, and entertainment. A poet praised its endless charm with the lines: 'Luoyang's peonies are the best under heaven, Lijing's city tower is unparalleled in the world.'
