Unlike the glamorous energy of Paris, Lyon offers a softer, quieter charm that slowly grows on you. It's the culinary capital of France and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but it still feels warm, grounded, and real 🍷🥖 Wandering through Vieux Lyon (Old Town) over the past few days felt like walking through time — cobbled lanes, Renaissance architecture, and all the little surprises hiding in the Traboules (those secret passageways) 🏛️🕯️ It’s like the city whispers stories if you walk slowly enough to hear them. I stayed on Fourvière Hill, and the hotel (Fourvière Hotel) was a dream — a former 17th-century monastery turned boutique hotel. White vaulted hallways, peaceful monastery gardens, and ancient Bible-inspired interiors made every corner feel like a sanctuary 🙏🌿 At night, I soaked in a small thermal pool with a glowing view of the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière — magical and healing all at once 💫 #lyonfrance #hiddengemsfrance #citywanderer
