Macau's Mount Bishop

Macau's Mount Bishop is located between Sai Van Lake and A-Ma Temple. The mountain is one of Macau's upscale residential areas. In addition to the Guia Lighthouse, Mount Bishop, located at the top of the mountain, is another place where you can see the panoramic view of Macau from a high altitude, and enjoy the view of Macau's South Bay and Inner Harbour. There is the Guia Church on the mountain. Built in 1622, it was the former residence of the bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Macau. It has a Gothic church spire and was rated as a "building of architectural and artistic value" and is included in the "List of Cultural Relics of Macau". There is a high platform in front of the church, with a marble statue of the Virgin Mary placed on it. Below it is the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, symbolizing the ancient appearance of Our Lady in the city of Lourdes, France.
