Sutongpe Bridge

Sutongpe Bridge is located in Ban Kung Mai Sak, Mueang District, Mae Hong Son Province, about 8 kilometers from the city center. It is 2 meters wide and about 500 meters long. It is a wooden bridge that has become another popular tourist attraction. Sutongpe is a Shan language that means “prayers succeed” or some people say it means “success”. It is believed that if you stand in the middle of the bridge and pray for success, you will receive it. It is considered the longest bamboo bridge in Thailand. Sutongpe Bridge is a bridge that was created from the faith and cooperation of monks and villagers of Kung Mai Sak who helped each other weave the floor of the bridge out of bamboo and stretch it across the rice fields of the owner who dedicated the rice fields.
