Mae Moh Mine

#summerdream Mae Moh Mine is the largest lignite mine in Thailand. It is a unit of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and is responsible for producing lignite coal to be used as fuel for Mae Moh Power Plant to generate electricity. Inside the Mae Moh Mine is the Lignite Study Center Museum, which is a museum of knowledge about geology and electricity generation technology. There is also a botanical garden, a public park decorated with beautiful plants that photographers will love. Another thing you shouldn't miss is playing on the grass slide, enjoying the beautiful view at the 84th Anniversary Chalermprakiat Park, and seeing the fields of golden sunflowers that bloom every November-December.
